Tucked away in the enclave often referred to as ‘the clubhouses’, the home of Diane and John Peed is our Deercreek View for October 2021. Their home is known in the neighborhood as a home with gorgeous landscaping.
Located at 7840 Heather Lake Court East, it sits on a cul de sac, only revealed as you approach the circle. The front of their home is landscaped with many colorful shrubs, including Encore azaleas, boxwoods, loropetalum, Japanese yew, and camellia, and is framed along the side by a crape myrtle, bottlebrush, and river birch trees.
With a screened porch in the back overlooking Heather Lake and the Deercreek natural area, it is a nature lover’s paradise! The Peeds enjoy spending time on their porch watching the birds, turtles, and fish jumping in the pond. And with deer wandering through their yard, they have planted flowers the deer don’t generally eat, yet attract butterflies and birds, such as pentas, vincas, caladiums, African iris, morning glories, and milkweed.
The Peeds moved to Deercreek in 1995. Their grandsons grew up catching fish in the lake and creating many other great memories at the pool and playground. Over the years they’ve had many wonderful neighbors who’ve shared their lives with them and they are proud to call Deercreek home.
