From the Access Control Committee
School has now started:
- Be watchful for students walking, running, biking or standing waiting for school busses, especially in the early morning darkness.
- Be courteous as by not parking on lawns at bus stops or blocking sidewalks or drive ways.
- Be legal by not parking closer than 25 feet to a stop sign, and do not pass a bus with its red lights flashing on the street side of the bus. Some busses now have cameras to record vehicles going past them when the bus is stopped unloading students. Those doing so will receive a ticket.
- Delivery trucks such as Wal Mart and Kroger must be listed in the guest lists for residents. They are different than mass delivery trucks like Amazon and UPS who will have multiple deliveries in Deercreek. Wal Mart and Kroger and other such smaller delivery vehicles generally are going only to one location in Deercreek.
Buying a new or used vehicle?
- As soon as purchased, please notify the guard gate so a new barcode can be purchased and the old one deactivated.
- Remember, it is against the rules of Deercreek to transfer barcodes from one vehicle to another, and there is a fine for doing so. All barcodes must match the vehicle for which they were bought.
- If there are difficulties getting to the guardhouse, during the 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday through Friday hours, please contact the guardhouse and most likely an appointment can be made.
- Bring the bar code from the previous vehicle and save $15 on purchasing the new barcode.
An audit of Deercreek barcodes will be done soon, and any barcode not used in the last 12 months will be deactivated.
The new trash citation times will be as follows:
- House trash citations will not to be issued between 8:00 AM Sunday to 6:00 PM Tuesday, but they will be issued outside these hours.
- Recycling trash citations will not to be issued between 8:00 AM Monday to 6:00 PM Wednesday, but they will be issued outside these hours.
- Yard trash citations will not to be issued between 8:00 AM Tuesday to 6:00 PM Thursday, but they will be issued outside these hours.
- Trash of any kind will be cited on Friday and Saturday.
