• Resident PIN security is very important. A lack of care in maintaining its security can result in unacceptable guests being allowed into the community. We’ve had a couple of incidents of that happening recently. PIN numbers can be changed by visiting the guard gate Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
• Please remind first-time guests who are on the residents’ approved list that they must present a VALID driver’s license to gain admittance. Passports are not acceptable nor are expired driver’s licenses. Should a guest refuse to present a valid driver’s license or not have one, and run through the gate, the driver can be arrested for trespassing on private property. Any guest not having a valid driver’s license will not be allowed to drive in Deercreek due to liability to the Home Owners’ Association.
• In the coming months, JSO will begin patrols in Deercreek as some residents and guests do not like to obey the stop signs and speed limit. JSO will also be providing an extra measure of security to the community.
• Please be courteous and do not allow guests or vendors to block other residents’ driveways or park on their sidewalks.
• When a large party is being given, and cars are parked on both sides of the road creating at best a narrow lane of passage, remember emergency vehicles must have a clear lane of traffic to travel. Please make sure guests park as far to the side as possible without going onto the grass or sidewalks.
• Last, and a recurring reminder, always lock vehicles and residences, and for vehicles, do not leave valuables in the vehicle whether in view or not. Spring Break is coming up, and incidents of vandalism usually increase during that time. Please be watchful.
