From the Access Control Committee

Nov 1, 2024

  • In October, the JSO officers gave 18 tickets to guests and vendors with a top speed of 47 miles per hour. Please remind guests and vendors of the speed limit in Deercreek. Only four JSO tickets were given to residents, but there, too, the top speed was 47 miles per hour.

  • The Holiday Season is approaching with all its gatherings. Please remember to add guests’ names to the gate entry system at least 24 hours before the event to facilitate faster entrance into Deercreek.

  • Residents can acquire the gate system APP to also facilitate guest/vendor entrance by going to the gate Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM. The APP is free.

  • All guest and vendor drivers MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE. Passports or other identifications are not acceptable.

  • The Holiday Season will usually have parents and others wanting to buy gifts of motorized vehicles of various types and with two or four wheels. Be aware these are not only extremely dangerous as they cannot always be seen by other drivers, but they are illegal if operated by unlicensed drivers. There have been some near misses with these vehicles in Deercreek.

  • JSO and the Ramco guards will be watching for unlicensed drivers driving golf carts or other motorized vehicles on Deercreek roads. Citations will be issued.

  • The Holiday Season is also a time for increased vigilance for security. Reminder: NOTHING OF VALUE LEFT IN SIGHT IN VEHICLES, ALL VEHICLES LOCKED EVEN AT HOME, BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS AT ALL TIMES.

  • Some 35 responsible private golf cart owners have registered their golf carts as having liability coverage. At least 15 who registered last year have not. If you see a golf cart with a red circle on its windshield, thank the driver for their caring about the safety of Deercreek. The club also issues a different decal for its privately owned golf carts. We thank owners with those decals as well.
