Halloween is the focal point of October, and there is a huge potential for unsafe activities. Be watchful at all times on Halloween for people walking in the Deercreek roads, especially small children. Everyone should wear light colored clothes. Both the JSO officers and Ramco guards will watching for unlicensed drivers driving golf carts. Please be courteous to others. There will be residents who do not want to participate in Halloween. Respect that. Also, practice courtesy to those who are walking on sidewalks and in the roads, although the roads should be used for walking only as a last resort.
Residents are reminded that no political or contractor signs are allowed in yards in Deercreek, even if a construction project is in progress.
Non-club member golf cart owners are reminded to register their golf cart’s liability insurance for the remainder of 2024 and the first nine months of 2025. The registration is available Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Citations for non-compliance will begin to be issued October 1, 2024. This insurance requirement is in place to protect the home owners’ association and the resident cart owners.
Having trouble getting guests in the gate system for visits or larger gatherings? There is a free phone APP available, and the guard captain at the gate will be happy to assist in installing it for residents. She is available Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Remember the time change November 3. The sun is coming up later and going down earlier. If you must walk or run in the roads, wear light colored clothing and run or walk facing the traffic, especially if wearing earbuds which are unsafe in these situations. It’s for your safety.
As always be aware of your surroundings. Leave nothing of value visible in your vehicle, and keep it locked at all times and your residence locked as well.
