As the PACE Center has been closed for some time, with no re-opening date known, the Special Projects team at the Center decided that something was needed to cheer up the girls who would usually be studying at PACE, so asked for volunteers to donate and make up goodie bags. Each bag was to contain a number of items, including candy or chips, nail care, lotion, a game (word search, etc) and a lip balm, and Ms Mary, who started, and still runs, ‘Mrs Mary’s Boutique’ at the Center, wrote a letter which would also be included in the bag.
Vicki Khan, our DWA representative for PACE, put together a number of these bags and delivered them to the co-ordinator ready to be passed onto the girls. Thank you to Vicki for doing this to help bring some happiness to those who may be struggling without part of their usual support network.
